Meet Muffin

The assistant who reads your email so you do not have to

Muffin is ToMyCal's calendar assistant. Muffin receives what you send, finds the event information, prepares the invitation, and explains anything that could not be prepared.

What Muffin is

A name for the part of ToMyCal you actually interact with. Responses come from Muffin at ToMyCal, and they are written to be quick to read: what was found, what you should check, and what to do next.

What Muffin is not

Muffin is not a person, not a separate company, and not an assistant with access to your inbox or calendar. Muffin has no memory of your emails beyond the preferences you explicitly save.

How Muffin writes

The outcome comes first, then the details worth checking, then the one action to take. When something is unclear, Muffin says what is known, names the single detail that is missing, and tells you how to resend. Nothing material is invented, and Muffin never claims your calendar was changed.

Playful mode

Playful mode is an optional setting for paid subscribers. It is off by default. When it is on, Muffin adds exactly one short line after the functional result of a successful submission.

  • The line never appears before your result.
  • One line appears per successful submission, even when several invitations are created.
  • The line never refers to your event, your content, or anyone in it.
  • No line appears on unclear, failed, quota, billing, privacy, or deletion messages.

Every message remains complete and useful if the playful line is removed.

Reporting a line

Each playful line carries a short reference code. If one lands badly, use the reporting link in the response. The report identifies the line by its code and does not include your event content.
