What these words mean
- Successful email
- One email you send to Muffin that produces at least one calendar invitation. One email counts once, even when Muffin creates several invitations from it.
- Free allowance
- Your first 10 successful emails, counted against your email address. It is a one-time allowance rather than a monthly reset.
- Monthly usage cycle
- The repeating monthly period in which paid allowances reset. It is anchored to the day your paid access started.
- Payment term
- The period you are charged for. Pro is billed monthly; Frontier is billed once a year.
Your free allowance only spends when it works.
A free email counts toward your allowance only when Muffin creates a calendar invite from it. Everything else is on us.
- Muffin found no clear event
- A date, time, or timezone was unclear
- The file was unsupported or over the limit
- Something went wrong on our side
- The same email reached us twice
The paid allowance resets every month
Pro includes 100 emails per monthly usage cycle. An email counts toward this total once Muffin processes it, whether or not it produces a calendar invitation.
A monthly usage cycle is anchored to the day paid access began rather than to the first of the calendar month. When that day does not exist in a shorter month, the cycle uses the month's last day without moving the anchor for later months.
The free allowance is one-time
Your first 10 successful emails are free. They are counted against your email address and do not reset each month, so when they are used you can upgrade to keep going.
A separate abuse control allows up to 5 analyzed submissions in any rolling 24 hours. It rarely affects ordinary use, and reaching it gives you a clear message and a reset time.
Free use also stops after 30 emails that Muffin has read, however few of them produced an invitation. Reading an email costs us whether or not it contains an event, so this is what bounds free use overall. Ordinary use reaches the 10 free successful emails long before it.
Renewal and cancellation
Both paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and your paid access continues through the date you have already paid for.
There is no usage rollover, no overage fee, and no usage packs.

Your first 10 successful emails need no account and no payment details. Send one and see what Muffin sends back.
